I went to visit The Beacon School on Chino Roces Ext. in Makati today and got to go around some of the classrooms and take pictures of the facilities...
I loved that they made the boxes into a house, a church and airplanes!
That's right! "...unless the girls alow (sic) us to go in ther (sic) house!"
church
play area
dramatic play area
manipulatives and puzzles
drying rack/shelves courtesy of their in-house carpenter
Love this map, complete with buildings and structures!
science station with magnets
teacher made see-through frames with acetate pages and colored cellophane
picture schedule
job chart
structures and toys with the kids' names to 'save' the toys/structures for later, I guess
the tape divides the shelf nicely into areas for when the kids put the materials away
art gallery for the upper grades
more art and projects!
a children's book about a child with dyslexia
Really happy about my visit. Got some really good ideas and got to see some old friends too :).

Love the drying racks! Such a good idea :-) Trivia. If you need to source those natural wooden blocks/puzzle pieces, Meggy's friend in Cebu makes and sells those. The guy behind marketmanila.com is the founder of Beacon School.
